Working as presenter, producer, reporter, writer and public speaker, John has spent most of his career at the ABC in Adelaide and while he is well known as a football (soccer) and cycling reporter, John has steadily developed a range of new skills.
After leaving the ABC in mid-2009, John completed his multimedia-focused Journalism degree (Uni SA) and then spent 2010 producing KG & The General--a daily sports show, hosted by Ken Cunningham and Phil Smyth.
John began 2011 working for the Tour Down Under and then took up various freelance opportunities. These included producing at 891 ABC Adelaide, writing magazine articles, plus writing and editing copy for the redesigned South Australian Tourism Commission website South Australia.com.
John is delighted to be still at the ABC in 2013 where he is producing Drive with Michael Smyth. This follows an 18 month spell with Ian Henschke. 891 ABC Adelaide.
