I leave a response when I like a post on a website or I have something to valuable to contribute to the discussion. Usually it's a result of the passion displayed in the post I read. And after this article Marcos Flores: An opportunity missed | JTM's blog. I was actually moved enough to drop a commenta response :-) I actually do have a few questions for you if it's okay. Is it only me or do some of these responses look like written by brain dead folks? :-P And, if you are writing at other social sites, I would like to follow you. Could you make a list every one of your public pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?

John
Your comments and opinions are shared by many. I belive that all the criticism
of Bates is brought about by his own doing due to the secrecy that he surrounds his dealings with.
However, it has become blatantly obvious that there is no money being made available for quality players other than second rate has beens and loanees.
Grayson has tried his best on a shoestring budget and failed. The signs are quite apparent when you look at the young age of the team fielded in the last 2 months. This has been a sign of a last resort. Granted we have one of the largest squads, A squad that lacks balance due to the financial restraints.
I'm writing this in hindsight as Grayson has now been removed. However, the timing is questionable. Who will take the mantle with the squad we have and with the condition of a must win promotion.
I have been a Leeds supporter since 1964. I have watched them from Wembley to Hampden and Paris to Barcelona and will continue to support Leeds United until I draw my last breath. That being said, I too will cancel my subscription to LUTV until Ken Bates leaves the club by one way or another. Be honest with us and yourself Mr. Bates and the fans will return. Time is on our side.

Great blog JTM, very happy to see you among the pundits. The AUFC owners have shown themselves capable of grabbing media attention and presenting a marketing strategy. However one gets the feeling that, rather like Kevin Rudd, big ideas are seized on and given a push, and once that's done, management moves on to the next big idea. Follow-up is lacking.

Where is the promotion of the ABC radio commentary for home games; including on ABC1? I rarely listen to 891 so perhaps that's being done - but if not, why not? Why is it sometimes included in the Tiser's graphic for a game, and often not?

Where is a rollout of membership cards or keyrings, to provide some clear badge of membership?

Where is decent information about members' rights, including voting rights?

Where is cross-promotion with other state sporting teams, whose product is not in competition - e.g. the 'event' based BBL (Adelaide Strikers), 36ers, Bite?

Anyway - today it seems that Messrs Gerard and Griffin are looking to buy in boom, with Arnie the target. One has the feeling that regular Asian football is the boardroom's goal. In that case more will need to be done than just buying a coach in great form.

Its like you read my mind! You appear to know so much about this, such as you wrote the guide in it or something. I believe that you simply could do with some % to drive the message house a bit, but other than that, this is magnificent blog. An excellent read. I'll certainly be back.

Hi John,

I like your comments on Coolen and Kossie, spot on I feel. Just out of interest, the tram on the blog image - is that Line 28 in Lisbon? I remember that beautiful ride from the mid-nineties...

Cheers,
Dan

Stubbins should be in charge at AUFC and the runour has it the owners were too embarrassed to ask him to come back after Rini left so went for Kosmina as a stop gap.I think they just realised that it was Stubbins that got them off to the great start last year not Rini Foolen.
And maybe just maybe also that it was Stubbins who was the key behind Vidmar as well.
Looks like the AIS will get him (Stubbins) as the senior coach now unless there is a late appliaction again to that position by Rini like there was in Adelaide last year.
I expect they wont be as sucked in by foolen as Petrillo was though!

hi sam...

at the risk of sounding trite, here is a definition of a blog>
blog
[blawg, blog] Show IPA noun, verb, blogged, blog·ging.
noun
1. a Web site containing the writer's or group of writers' own experiences, observations, opinions, etc., and often having images and links to other Web sites.

...so, yes not suprisingly my writing is subjective because it's my opinion.

No use hiding what i think/feel and in this instance I can say events at Adelaide United over the past year or so have disappointed me.

That said, I'm pleased with the immediate response last night. It wasn't pretty but at least they showed some passion and pride.

When Adelaide get some more players back they should improve but the biggest worry is how unfit Kosmina says they are. Coolen apparently didn't train them hard enough. This won't be easy to turn around quickly.

Thanks for fixing the links.

My point about transparency is that Your obvious dislike means that your writing is subjective.
